Students and Discipline Essay for College Students

In this article, I am going to write an Essay about Students and Discipline.

This topic gives a delimitation and it has a purpose behind it. Discipline is the sheet another or kingpin for everybody. Students need to cultivate it more because they are potential citizens of a society or country. Social responsibility is devolved on them for the regeneration, reforms and redemption of society.

Our students by and large have gone a way to a great extent. There is some real and valid reason behind it. They are overcrowding in schools or colleges, lack of social intercourse between the teacher and the taught dearth of residential accommodation; infiltration of the unscrupulous politicians, encouragement to the students by the disgruntled and desperate teachers, break down of the established values, insecurity regarding future and the lack of integrity in the people at the top. This is certainly a matter of deep concern in the Indian context.

Let us remember that student life is the seed time and the formative period. We do know that seeds should be good and they are sown at the high time. The idea of discipline or other positive ideas are like seeds and the mind is just like soil. Lofty noble ideas can be accommodated only in the well-cultivated mind of students. The students are the most sensitive creature under the sun. They are clayey and hence need to be moulded in the correct cast with the utmost caution, vision and imagination.

But the fact is just the reverse. Most of the students are indisciplined and their behaviour is unruly. They frequently take resort to vandalism or hooliganism. Even the classrooms are not calm and quiet. The campus is too disturbed. The students have been serving as the tools of politicians or they are capitalising on their nuisance value. They dabble and wallow in the quagmire of politics, indulge in trade unionism and grind their axe. All this has brought the situation on campus to a sorry pass.

I think that some remedial measures ought to be taken in the light earnest. First of all the politicians should keep their soiled hands off the schools and the universities. Maximum academic and extracurricular activities should be toned. Due encouragement it should be given to the bright and ideal students The teacher who has been mudding the water and fishing therein be brought to book and sense. Their work has to be checked properly and the good teachers are given a due incentive.
